Ken contacted Good Shepherd Roofing after another roofing company had inspected his home and informed him that he definitely had an insurance claim. After careful inspection the GSR team let Ken know that there was not the type of damage present that would be commensurate with a roof replacement recommendation by an insurance adjuster (in our opinion). If we see damage we will be the first to work with you and work with your insurance to make sure the roof is put back correctly. However, making a claim to the insurance company when there is no damage present is not a good idea and we’ve seen many issues with this in the past.

In fact, many insurance companies recommend us to their customers because they know we will shoot straight with their insured customers and if the Good Shepherd says it’s hail damage or wind damage they can believe it.

Even though there was not an insurance claim present Ken decided to go ahead and have the GSR team perform a roof replacement. Ken reached this conclusion with the help of our roof inspection team due to the fact that his existing roof had reached it’s life expectancy and was starting to show signs of damage that if left unchecked could cause bigger issues down the road.
