Renewing an Old Downtown Building to it’s Former Glory
Our Roofing Services Office — Good Shepherd Roofing started the transformation of the old Dacula downtown general store more than 3 years ago and about at the same time when our state and country were in full fledged Covid lock down. Lots has changed since we began the project but we are proud to be working in the building and finally able to enjoy it and let our customers, friends, family and community enjoy it with us.
A Building with a Solid Foundation of Community Service
One of the core tenants for Good Shepherd Roofing is bringing old school work ethic and values to each job we perform for customers. It’s part of our GSR Difference. From minor repairs to full scale residential and commercial renovations it’s important that customers know we will do the job properly at the price we quoted and with no non-sense. When we started looking for a building to house GSR just any old location wasn’t going to do. We needed to find that special connection to our community and also find a location that truly represented us. Well…when we came across this historic building that was built circa 1903 we knew we had found something special. Unfortunately, there was much to do to the building to make it compliant with local county ordinances and also make it perfect to house our regional headquarters.
A Headquarters that Exemplifies Our Values
One of the things we liked about the building was that it had time, tenure and was built to withstand a lot. Kind of like the work we do at GSR, we’re interested in being here for the long-haul and building relationships with our customers that can stand the test of time. We see a lot of shady practices in the roofing industry and often times the roofing contractor that is providing you the quote doesn’t have an actual properly credentialed business or business location to operate from. That means when there’s a problem you may have a hard time finding him or her. For Good Shepherd Roofing, customers have an actual business location where they can come, talk to us and we can help them work through their roofing replacement or exterior contracting project. Our team put love and care into the building and are now proud to call it home. Our hope is that others in the Dacula community will be able to enjoy it and also appreciate the grandeur of this old building that has been around for almost 120 years and has seen so many things in it’s lifetime.
We hope you enjoy this quick sneak peak of the office:
